Your future role
Reporting to the Site Supply Chain Manager, the Logistics Engineer will design, develop and put in place solutions to improve end-to-end logistic flows meeting QCDE (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Environment and Health & Safety) targets in compliance with regional priorities (regarding material flow, storage, packaging, warehousing, transport and respect of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) rules). A full-time permanent role, based at our Rollingstock Manufacturing Site in Dandenong.
A bit about your new role:
1. Implement, manage standard packaging solutions (purchase, design, prototype, validation and monitor the budget follow-up.
2. Apply solutions to protect parts during all logistic operations (transport, unloading, storage, line feeding
3. Contribute with Regional Logistic Engineering to identify potential improvements in the whole value chain and capture the added value.
4. Reduce work labor time in the warehouse (picking, kitting hours) & in production.
5. Collaborate with technical services to improve ergonomics at workstation (internal kitting trolley) and reduce waste packaging (zero unpacking).
6. Manage the Project Supply Chain specifications and negotiate with the suppliers at site and project level.
7. Design and Develop methods of getting all parts from supplier to warehouse in a safe and cost effective way
8. Put in place actions to align physical flow and system flow and to improve the stock accuracy in compliance with the standard process.

9. Tertiary Qualification in Supply Chain OR Engineering
10. Experience working in a manufacturing environment
11. Knowledgeable of ERP SAP (Warehouse Management and Inventory Management modules)
