The Strategic Planning, Projects and Engagement (SPPE) team is a pivotal part of the Health Planning unit that works to improve health and wellbeing by supporting a robust health service planning framework across the Department of Health, Tasmanian Health Service, and broader health system. This enables the DoH and THS to plan for services needed to meet future Tasmanian needs.
This includes leading core system-wide health service planning activities under the banner of the Tasmanian Government's Our Healthcare Future reform agenda, including:
* Advancing Tasmania's Health
* Tasmanian Role Delineation Framework
* Regional Clinical Services Profiles
* Long-Term Plan for Healthcare in Tasmania 2040
The SPPE team applies a solutions-focus in delivering strategic planning, project management, and stakeholder engagement across the Department of Health. Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the development of frameworks for clinical and consumer engagement across the Department.
* Managing the administration and operations of the Tasmanian Health Senate.
* Providing professional secretariat services to various committees and advisory panels.
* Managing project portfolios and undertaking detailed analysis relating to health services planning.
The Role: The Senior Policy Officer supports the SPPE and Health Planning team in planning, overseeing, and implementing strategic health planning programs and policy initiatives.
In this role, you will take a lead position in supporting events, coordination, and operation of key stakeholders and inform strategic system-wide health services planning.
