Directs daily operations focussing on asset management, customer service, people management, productivity, compliance and continuous improvement. Responsible for building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, managing logistics of the daily marina operations including special events. Responsibilities: Oversee Hamilton Island Marina facilities, Boatyard and Chandlery to ensure first-class marina operations. Support marina, boatyard and administrative team members to achieve a high stand of operations with a focus on compliance and continuous improvement. Work closely with the Marina Manager to achieve financial performance, occupancy and customer service goals, while delivering a net profit back to the owners Drive marina occupancy and manage berthing plans for special events and visiting superyachts. Oversee procedures for marina bookings, invoicing, and berth agreement procedures through designated Marina Management Systems. Ensure Marina Management software solution – Harbour Assist – is kept updated and all functionalities utilised to maximise operational efficiencies Maintain up-to-date Boatyard operating procedures to ensure safety, efficiency, and industry best practices. Manage Boatyard document compliance ensuring lift agreements are properly complete and insurances are current. Collaborate with Senior Leadership across Maintenance and Engineering to proactively manage maintenance schedules and react to maintenance issues for marina, boatyard, vessel and vehicle assets. Monitor communications on 2-way Island and 2-way VHF radios for arriving and departing of vessels for Hamilton Island Marina and on water staff. Train new staff to set the up for success in their roles for Marina, Boatyard and Chandlery. Respond to general enquires and complaints in a pleasant and efficient manner. Monitor compliance of required documentation for vessels including insurance, registration and agreements. Collect data to assist with benchmarking, price setting and budget preparations Manage rosters and time and attendance in UKG. Assist in any Emergency and volunteer work associated with the safety of staff and guests and cleanliness of the island as required. Maintain a familiarisation of Marina, Boatyard and Marine Activities on-water emergency procedures, with a knowledge of current SOP’s. About You: You have creativity and initiative. Your strong leadership skills and business acumen combine with excellent customer service skills. You have proven strong experience in the Marine Industry including previous management experience in marinas.
