Motherson Lumen is forging ahead and is committed to delivering high quality products and services.We have an Assistant Buyer position available for an administrative allrounder who understand the daily operational activities in Procurement.The primary role is to manage procurement administration and reporting, ensuring best data management, reporting support and RFQ releasing adherence that complies with Lumen internal customer and process requirements, whilst providing office assistance to General Manger Operations in daily business operations. You will be reporting to the Strategic Buyer Team Lead, and your key responsibilities will entail the following but not limited to, Perform administration support and tasks to support General Manager Operations such as but not limited to, data entry and analysis, maintenance of spreadsheets, reports and filing, contacting and following up internal and external stakeholders, and other daily duties. Assist responsible buyer to analysis quote further towards recommendationProcess quote data into master data file to support cost estimation.Handle the releasing of Requests for Quotation (RFQ) from procurement email address to potential bidders as directed from responsible buyer.Monitor and follow up quotes related to production drawing releaseManage Quotation Tracking Sheet with information supplied from buyerReminder bidder of quote due and following up with late quote towards quote receiptPublish "RFQ on Time" and "Quote under Target" report second week every monthHandle the releasing of Request for Information (RFI) to new suppliers as directed from management.The successful applicant will have the following qualities:Experience of Procurement or Sourcing Administrator/Analyst experience in a manufacturing/corporate environment preferred, and training can be arranged. Experience in Purchasing (including Sub Contracts) and negotiation would be an advantage, and training can be arranged. Strong interpersonal skills, including demonstrated experience of customer/supplier interactionAttention to detail, decision making and problem-solving skillsTime Management and Organizational / Planning skills. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications preferred.Experienced in the use of MRP systems preferred but not necessary, training can be arranged. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and understand manufacturing process flow would be an advantage, training can be arranged.
