Our ability to deliver outstanding outcomes is a result of the exceptional talent within the business, and we are currently looking for a Quality Manager to strengthen our team of dedicated and driven professionals.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Quality Manager is responsible for all quality activities relating to the fabrication and welding of steel work. To be successful in this role, you will support the team in ensuring the delivery of all projects in full and on time in line with client requirements, while driving quality, safety and a positive and inclusive work environment.
Core operational responsibilities will include: Developing and submitting project deliverables such as ITP's, WPS, WQTR and MDR index for review;Oversee NDT requests and Weld maps;Coordinating client Inspections;Performing critical fabrication checks post welding;Maintaining Welder Qualifications throughout workshop;Performing Paint inspections and preparing paint reports;Writing Incident reports and NCR's when applicable;Upkeep and Maintenance of Accreditations systems:AS/NZS 5131 - CC3ISO 9001 QMSISO 45001 - OHSISO 14001 - ENV;Heavy Vehicle Accreditation;Monthly reporting on HSEQ data and KPI's in line with the above accreditation systems;Accountability for ensuring the conditions of our Certification is followed by all business units. Facilitating in training and workshops where required to ensure compliance by all stakeholders;Identify opportunities for development and improvement within the existing QA/QC framework and operating practices;Prepare and complete quality audits, providing feedback to Senior Management on key corrective actions.Experience required: A professional in your field you will have demonstrable experience in a fabrication environment dealing with structural steel, heavy platework and piping. The role requires a strong customer focus and a solutions-oriented approach.
In addition you will have:
A realistic and solutions focus to quality management in a high production environment;Hold either AS2214 and/or AS1796 Certificate 10 qualification;NACE paint inspection qualifications would be advantageous;High level of computer literacy with a good understanding of the MS Office Suite;Team player, with a flexible attitude and a hands-on approach;Passionate about work and delivering outstanding results;Positive and inclusive working environment.If this sounds like the role you have been looking for click the 'Apply Now' button.
