Role Details
The Department for Child Protection is seekingan Annual Review Facilitator to join theFar North Far West region to be site located in either the PortPirie, Port Augusta or Whyalla office.
The role is responsible for:
1. Providing oversight of the annual review process and associated panel responsibilities
2. Ensuring that all discussion and decision making between participants, within the process, is undertaken in a respectful, connective and culturally appropriate manner
3. Ensuring the existing arrangements of care for children and young people continue to be in their best interests
4. Consulting and partnering with the Principal Aboriginal Consultant or the Aboriginal Family Practitioner to ensure cultural maintenance plans are implemented and provide opportunities to further develop these plans.
About You
To be successful in the role you will have the ability to applyculturally sensitive child protection practice for Aboriginal andTorres Strait Islander people, and community from culturally andlinguistically diverse backgrounds. Proven experience in culturallycompetent Social Work practice is key to enable effective reviewprocesses of case plans.
The successful applicant will have knowledge of the Childrenand Young People (Safety) Act 2017, possess strong analyticalskills and excellent communication abilities both verbally and inwriting.

Essential Qualifications:
AHP: A degree level qualification inSocial Work which gives eligibility for full membership of theAustralian Association of Social Workers
Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanderdescent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do nothave the essential qualification, may apply for and beengaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitledto apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring aqualification in Social Work within the Department for ChildProtection (DCP).
PO: Appropriate degree qualification inCommunity Services, Social Sciences, Human Services, Health orrelated field.
