Permanent PO4 Principal Conservation Officer within the Threatened Species Operations Recovery Planning and Co-ordination unit. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Principal Conservation Officer who will be responsible for planning, managing and reporting on threatened species projects and building relationships with our key stakeholders to drive program success and longevity.
As a Principal Conservation Officer you will work with a diverse team of experienced professionals who use robust science and knowledge, legislation, policy and stakeholder input to develop threatened species conservation strategies and support implementation of recovery actions.
To be successful in this position you must have: Experience in project management related to ecological planning, conservation management, landscape scale science or threatened species management. Ability to work as part of a diverse team, as well as work autonomously as required. An ability to build effective and enduring relationships, communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders and negotiate project requirements.
