A lady in her late 30s living with support in her own home in Maroochydore is seeking additional team members to complete an ongoing and consistent roster of supports. She loves animals (especially horses), arts & crafts, bike riding, and movies. She will get along best with workers who are excellent communicators and able to engage with these interests whilst maintaining professional boundaries and understanding the function and purpose of good support. This is an active and interactive role requiring a flexible mindset and workers who are open to spontaneity and adventures in a dynamic work environment.

* Experience with de-escalation and emotional regulation techniques (highly regarded)
* Experience in support with Mental Health (highly regarded)
Key Duties:
* Daily decision making made in collaboration with the individual’s family
* Prompting and encouragement in all aspects of daily life, including domestic duties, personal care, medication, life administration (medical appointments, bill paying)
* Organising social events/catch ups, and connecting with the local community
* Being open and flexible to caring for animals as a part of the daily support
Various shifts available across 7 days:
* Weekday sleepovers 5pm s/o 6.30am
* Weekend sleepovers 4.30pm s/o 8.30am
* Weekday Day Shifts 9.30-2.30pm
* Typical shifts include mostly evening and overnight support, with some daytime support
* Ideally, workers will commit to the same shift(s) weekly and ongoing, and live locally
* Reliability and consistency of support is key for this role
Staff rates:
* Monday to Friday 6am to 8pm shift - $37.08 per hour
* Monday to Friday 8pm - 6am shift - $41.53 per hour
* Saturday - $51.92 per hour
* Sunday - $66.75 per hour
* Public Holidays - $81.59 per hour
* Sleepover allowance $80.00 per shift
Requirements:
* Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in support
* Open Driver’s license and own vehicle with insurance
* Current First Aid Certificate & CPR
* NDIS Worker Screening/Yellow Card (or willing to obtain)
* Blue Card (Working with Children Card) (or willing to obtain)
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (or willing to obtain)
* Live within reasonable travelling distance
* Able to work in a smoke-free environment
