Woodside led the development of the LNG industry in Australia and is applying this same pioneering spirit to solving future energy challenges.Our global headquarters are based in Perth and our state-of-the-art campus reflects the quality of life Perth is known for - with a six Green Star rating, advanced wellness features and flexibility in how you work.About the Role:The purpose of this role is to ensure timely compliance with Australian Indirect Taxes.This position is offered on an initial 2 year fixed term period.The role will hold the following key accountabilities:• Collation of accounting and business information inputs for Australian indirect tax obligations.• Involvement in preparation of indirect tax returns, including GST, Withholding Tax, Royalties, Excise and FBT.• Indirect tax accounting, including accruals, clearing and blackline reconciliations.• Co-ordinate payment of tax liabilities• Maintenance of relevant indirect tax master data• Advising the business on correct application of Tax codes.• Preparation and maintenance of process and procedure documentation in respect of tax compliance activities.• Continuous improvement and efficiency of compliance activities through automation.Duties & Responsibilities:Abide by Code of Conduct (including necessary training) and ABC requirements, providing 'leadership through example' to other local staff and contractors.Meet all Woodside Health and Safety standards and policies, providing 'leadership through example' to other local staff and contractors.Deliver on instructions from the Tax Manager or the Head of Indirect TaxEnsure compliance with all tax laws.Business Support:Assist in tax function improvement/teaming initiatives.Provide education and support to business in respect to correctly systems applications of tax.Compliance:Assist with collation of accounting and business information inputs for indirect international tax obligations.Preparation Australian tax returns, including GST, Withholding Tax, Royalties, Excise and FBT.Indirect tax Accounting.Coordinate payment of tax liabilities.Maintenance of processes and procedure.Automation of tax compliance processes.Skills & Experience:• Strong English (oral and written) communication skills• Attention to detail in preparing accurate tax forms/returns/work papers• Computer skills, particularly Microsoft office applications, and S4H• Automation and Data Analytics applications (Alteryx, Power BI)• Managing the timely achievement of tax compliance deadlines• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders• Identifying inefficiencies in business activity and providing sustainable solutions to drive changes in process• Ability to influence internal stakeholders to adopt changes in practices.Behaviors• Always behaves in a manner consistent with Woodside Compass behaviors and standards.• Strong commitment to safety and ethical behavior.• Strong awareness of ABC risks.Qualifications• Professional qualification (Certificate or Degree) or working towards.Experience• In-house tax and/or accounting.If you think you can do this job but don't meet all the criteria, that's OK!
