The client's logistics requirements cover FMCG to grocery, retail and pharmacy W/Hs & DCs as well as food wholesalers and other key delivery points nationally. 85% of all freight handled travels on company equipment, providing the company with operational and efficiency synergies resulting in exceptional KPI results.Position Overview The QLD Regional Manager is responsible for the overall management, strategic planning, and operational efficiency of three key sites within QLD. This role requires a seasoned leader with a strong background in transport, warehousing, financial management, human resources, and industrial relations, including experience working with unions. The QLD Regional Manager will drive business performance, ensure the smooth operation of all sites, and align regional activities with the company's strategic goals.Key Responsibilities Coordination and control of freight movement between depots, agents, and subcontractors (road and rail) throughout Australia and within the area of responsibility.Ensure implemented SOP and NOS are monitored and adhered to throughout the depot.The effective, efficient and safe operation of the depot in conjunction with the Depot Operations Manager and the QLD State/Regional Manager – ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and community expectations.Providing strong leadership and management of all direct reports.Ensure implemented operational KPIs are monitored to maintain them above the established targets.Identification and implementation of improvement opportunities.Maintain professional and pro-active customer relationships.Participate in the development and implementation of company policies.Ensure maximum utilization of company equipment and human resources.About you Successful track record in leading and driving operational excellence in a high-paced, asset logistics business.Minimum 5 years' experience leading multi-site teams across multi-customer environments to achieve and maintain service excellence.Strengths across developing operational processes to maximize service excellence and gross margin contribution.Team player and leader, self-motivated and driven to succeed.We would love to talk to professionals with commercial and operations experience who live and breathe logistics.
