Your new role
Our Oral Health Therapy Clinic is expanding, and we are looking for five Clinical Supervisors to join our team in a part-time, ongoing permanent position (0.4 - 0.8 FTE). The ideal candidate will work 6.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday; However, job share arrangements may be considered.
In this role, you will be essential in overseeing the clinical education of pre-registration students. You will collaborate closely with academic staff and other clinical educators to support students as they enhance their clinical knowledge and practical skills. You will be responsible for supervising students while they treat patients, ensuring a high standard of care and learning within our clinic environment.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Supervising and supporting students in clinical settings and facilitate student-led sessions.
* Ensure safe practice according to professional standards and legislation.
* Implement compliant clinical education strategies.
* Utilise evidence-based practices for skill development feedback.
* Promote communication between students and clinical partners.
* Lead reflection and debrief sessions.
* Maintain a high level of customer service.
* Foster relationships with industry partners.
* Collaborate on clinical skill development strategies.
* Provide clinical services to meet operational needs as necessary.

Selection Criteria
1. A degree in a relevant health discipline, and have current registration with the relevant professional association, with at least three years clinical experience in the relevant clinical area.
2. Demonstrated advanced knowledge and clinical skills in one or more areas of professional practice.
3. Demonstrated advanced understanding of the principles of evidence-based practice.
4. Demonstrated high level inter-personal, oral and written communication skills as an effective educator.
5. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative methods of instruction for students and supervisors in skills, knowledge and behaviours of relevance to the profession.
6. Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, multi-task and manage time effectively
Desirable
* A postgraduate in relevant health discipline.
* Evidence of professional development in clinical education.
