Looking for a Coordinator Ranger Services to commence ASAP in the Emerald Region!
Your new company
Our client oversees a vast region of nearly 60,000 square kilometres which is home to around 30,000 residents living in thirteen unique communities, including Emerald, Blackwater, and Capella. They manage essential services, infrastructure, and community development, supporting a region rich in minerals and agriculture. Our client is strategically significant, encompassing parts of the Bowen Basin.
Your new role
* Ensuring regulatory compliance, particularly in cases of dog attacks (including investigations and declarations) and addressing local law issues like abandoned vehicles and overgrown properties
* Processing permit applications, including stock route and agistment permits
* Managing pest and plant control activities, such as weed spraying and identification, and overseeing stock routes
* Supervising staff across various work locations within the region
* Collaborating with the recruitment team to fill vacant positions
What you'll need to succeed
* Driver's licence
* Relevant qualifications at Diploma or Degree level (Natural Resource Management, Environmental Management, Animal Management or Rural Land Management) and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
* ACDC ticket - or willing to obtain
* Working with Children Blue Card - or willing to obtain
* Pest Management (1080 Baiting) SOA - or willing to obtain
* Must be living locally in Emerald or willing to DIDO (within 500km)
* Ability to complete police check and pass a pre-employment medical
