Job Summary:
As Construction Supervisor, you will monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders' involvement, through the coordination and instruction of subcontractor's management staff.
Major Responsibilities:
* Monitors and directs subcontractor activities, through coordination and instruction of subcontractors' management staff within the area of responsibility.
* Role supports on large projects of high complexity with multiple stakeholders' involvement.
Planning
Reviews and monitors subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements. Reviews and approves where necessary, subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements. Leads the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.
Safety / Quality
Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.
Technical
Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents Coordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals. Coordinates with Design on constructability issues.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Typically requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
* Experience working within Transmission 132/330kV Terminal Stations
* Experience with Transmission Line installation
* Need to hold a good understanding of relevant Australian Standard
* Experience working with and supervising Sub-contractors
