This is an excellent full-time opportunity to work on a large long term concrete infrastructure project in WA.Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager and as part of a supportive commercial team, this role will be responsible for the evaluation and administration of the head contract and subcontracts/supply chain on the project, provide technical support and Contracts Administrator Management.Your Role Ensuring Head and Subcontract compliance with regards to contractual provisions and notice time framesUpdating the maintenance of accurate registers (Procurement, Correspondence, Change, Site Instruction, Technical Query and Delay Claim)Liaise with Site to upkeep Site Daily Reports, collate and distribute Week/Month Progress ReportsUnderstanding tender strategy with regards to Procurement/supply chain engagementInvolved in preparation and issuing of RFQ documentation including all related attachments/information and timeframes required for issue of documentationCompiling quantity take-off /bills of materials for packagesRaising Purchase Orders based on Contract Values and chase up approvals from relevant stakeholdersVendor Engagement from quotation to approval and the execution of agreementsReviewing Progress Claims / Invoices as submitted by Vendors and ensure timely response to Payment Claims / payment of invoices as required under the AgreementsInputting Head Contract Reporting requirements including: QMR, Free Issued Commodities registers, Progress Claim Register, Cash FlowIssuing relevant Change notifications against issue of revised drawings/scope of Works or Technical requirementsCompile and submit Payment Claims including substantiation documentationCompile and submit Change/Delay ClaimsAccurate recordkeeping, ensuring Dayworks, Claim Substantiation documentation, Change Documentation (invoices and delivery notes) etc. are processedRaising Commitments and identifying the effect of commitments on forecastingIdentify costs related to Change to the worksUnderstanding of Critical Path and effects of Change/Delay in the performance of the works on the Approved ProgrammeTo be successful, you will have the following:Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying (or suitable equivalent qualification, however candidates with extensive demonstrated experience/expertise in quantity surveying may be considered)Experience working for a Contractor on remote infrastructure projectsDemonstrated experience in a similar position in a Construction / Civil environmentDemonstrated ability to interpret, quantify and administer contracts and subcontractsSolid understanding of cost control and reportingStrong attention to detail and accuracyWhat we offerWhittens are committed to investing in our people, offering learning and development opportunities to build on the skills and experience you bring.
