We are seeking a motivated Control Systems Engineer to join our team and contribute to exciting projects that shape the future of industrial automation on an ongoing. This is a full-time, temporary role for the next 12 months located in Somersby NSW, with the possibility of extension or permanent placement based on business needs. In this role, you’ll assist in the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of cutting-edge control systems, with a primary focus on Siemens S7 PLCs and Ignition SCADA systems. Key Responsibilities Assist in the configuration, programming, and testing of Siemens S7 PLCs. Develop and maintain SCADA applications using Ignition software. Collaborate with engineers to diagnose and resolve control system issues. Participate in system integration projects, including hardware setup and software configuration. Develop and maintain technical documentation for system designs and updates. Contribute to automation code development and improvements using Python and CSS. Use MS Office tools to support project documentation, presentations, and data analysis. Qualifications Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field. Experience or coursework with Siemens S7 and/or Ignition SCADA (preferred). Programming skills in Python and familiarity with CSS (preferred). Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Skills Familiarity with PLC platforms or HMI/SCADA systems. Basic knowledge of industrial protocols (e.g., Profinet, OPC). Understanding of graphical design fundamentals to develop user-friendly and visually effective HMI/SCADA interfaces.
