The Maintenance Manager drives a continuous improvement culture that embraces plant efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability.Key Responsibilities:SafetyBe an ambassador for safety. Lead safety initiatives and drive a safe working environment.Comply with relevant state OHS/WHS legislation.Participate in audits and inspections to maintain compliance with Safety, GMP, and HACCP.Provide information, instruction, training, and supervision to employees and contractors, and ensure the use of appropriate PPE.Control the risk of high-risk activities and work.PeopleProvide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to the maintenance team.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning and demonstrate the Ridley values.Provide HR line management.MaintenancePlant and equipment maintenance to be undertaken in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and statutory requirements (as applicable) to enable efficient and safe operation.Liaise with Production Manager and workers, maintenance workers, and engineering employees to ensure issues with plant operation are resolved as rapidly as possible.Advance existing preventative maintenance program in Guardian (CMMS) to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs.Ensure spare parts inventory is managed effectively through the completion of requisition of supplies and spare parts, and stocktaking activities.Under the direction of the Capital Project Manager and site management, work on capital projects and the upgrade of plant as required.Lead and support CI activities to reduce complexity and improve reliability.Champion root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.Identify opportunities to implement or upgrade automation systems to enhance operational efficiency.Assist Commercial and Quality functions with resolution of customer complaints.Actively support site initiatives in line with Ridley programs, community links, responsible recycling/waste programs, and environmental requirements.Budgeting & ReportingTrack key performance metrics (KPI’s) and provide regular updates.Manage the Maintenance budget, including labour, equipment, and materials.Skills and Experience:Degree or trade qualification (engineering/mechanical relevant to role).Aptitude to maintain complex process equipment involving process automation.Substantial experience working with and supervising a maintenance team in an industrial (process) environment.Strong people management and leadership skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement of skill development and work performance.Good problem-solving and analytical skills.High mechanical aptitude.Good understanding of enterprise agreements.Sound computing skills, efficient in Microsoft Office.How to ApplyIf you are a motivated and reliable individual looking to contribute to a dynamic production team, we encourage you to apply.To apply, please submit your Resume along with a Cover Letter outlining your qualifications, experience, and interest in the position.Ridley is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
