A local, award-winning construction company is seeking a Site Supervisor!
Our client is a highly successful property developer specializing in new home design and construction across North Queensland.
Due to consistent growth, they are looking to hire a Site Supervisor to oversee the construction of a new townhouse development.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all aspects of construction are carried out to the highest standards and on schedule.
We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations of a townhouse development project.
The Site Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the project runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently, directly contributing to the success of this exciting new build.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee all site activities, ensuring construction progresses according to the project schedule.
Coordinate and supervise site teams, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, implementing safety measures and conducting site inspections.
Maintain day-to-day site operations, including managing material deliveries, ensuring the site is properly equipped and maintained.
Liaise with the Construction Manager, designers, engineers, and trades to ensure all project milestones are met.
Provide leadership and direction to the site team Manage site logistics, including site access, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Monitor and manage quality control, ensuring that all work adheres to industry standards and client specifications.
Report on site progress, safety issues, and any potential delays to senior management.
Resolve on-site issues and challenges efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.
Key Skills & Experience: Experience in residential building construction as a Supervisor or Leading Hand Trade qualified or near completion (Carpentry or Building) QBCC Licence would be preferred but not essential In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and materials.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Experience managing multiple subcontractors and maintaining site safety standards.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to site challenges.
WHS experience and a strong commitment to safety on-site.
