Electrolysis Test Engineer
This is a contract role for 12 months initially with potential to extend longer or become permanent, based near Perth.
This multi-faceted role involves a mix of hands-on assembly and testing, engineering and data analysis, working closely with the design team, technical documentation, and product development.
* Preparation of test procedures and plans to develop new and emerging water electrolysis technologies
* Gathering, analysis and reporting of test data. Automating the test reporting system
* Manual execution and data reporting of some test cases
* Problem solving day to day issues raising issues or the requirement for design changes to the engineering team where required
* Participating in traceability activities
* Design and development of testing equipment
* Working with the design team to convert prototypes to manufacturable parts based on test results
* Participating in design life cycle improvement programs
Key qualifications and skills:
* Tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering highly regarded but not essential
* Experience in testing software and / or hardware systems
* Experience in requirements analysis, traceability and creating, executing and reporting testing outcomes to engineering in a highly professional manner
* Understanding of basic engineering workflows and System Development Life Cycle
* Well-developed problem solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to solve problems in a measured and creative way
* Some experience in prototypes and design for manufacture advantageous
* Experience with rapid prototyping manufacturing using CNC Machines/Routers, Laser Cutters, Water Jet Cutting and Injection Moulding advantageous
