Are you a passionate and energetic PDHPE teacher? Tradewind are working with an Independent co-educational K-12 Christian school in Riverstone who are looking for a PDHPE teacher to join in a full-time role starting Term 3 this year.
Demonstrated Experience and Skills
1. Ability to teach Stage 6 PDHPE (Health and Movement Science) and Community and Family Studies (advantageous)
2. Have an understanding of the wellbeing needs of students
3. Commitment to developing sporting excellence for students
4. Ability to foster the sporting culture within the College
5. Experience or interest in the Duke of Edinburgh/Outdoor Education
6. Demonstrated strategies to cater for a variety of learners
7. Evidence of a relational approach to colleagues, students, and parents
8. Effective organisation and ability to fulfil administrative and assessment requirements of a teaching role
9. Excellent communication skills
10. Demonstrated ability to support the ethos, principles and practices of the college and willingness and enthusiasm to assist with the implementation and organisation of extracurricular/co-curricular activities
11. Knowledge or experience of innovative pedagogical models including project-based learning that leads to greater than 'expected' academic growth
12. A strong understanding of and commitment to Christian education and the Christian development of students
Prerequisites:
13. Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
14. Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete)
15. Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes)
16. Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
17. Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references and a Church-based reference
