Reporting to the APAC Facilities Management Lead and work closely on on the Australia and New Zealand region and regional critical systems team. The position is responsible for the strategic management resources to improve efficiency and economic viability in the operation of owned and leased real estate.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
Critical Systems Operations and Risk Management – provide management and strategy oversight in the management of the firm’s facilities and manage the risk toward maintaining 100% availability
1. Partner with our vendors to deliver the best-in-class DMG, Hospitality and Ground Transportation provisions. Build vendor relationship at a local level to ensure that GS continues to benefit from the broader relationship through working collaborating with the regional team
2. Build relationships with key business stakeholders to support the operation, drive improvement and maximize the impact of client interactions
3. Identify operating efficiencies and deliver a smarter service
4. Ensure operations meet the highest Health & Safety and food standards. Ensure adherence to audit protocols and risks are logged in the Vendor Risk Portal, and remediation plans are implemented in a timely manner
5. Contribute to Real Estate projects, and drive DMG and Hospitality requirements supporting the design and operation of future amenity space
6. Partner with the ESG team to focus on sustainability across DMG, Hospitality and Ground Transportation businesses and Tier 2 diverse vendor spend
7. Support an integrated workforce experience across On-Site Solutions, looking for opportunities to connect services provided by different teams
8. Collaborate with Wellness, internal/external auditors, and other similar stakeholders to ensure compliance with Hygiene, Health, and Safety best practices
9. Support and manage commercial relationships, service providers and strategic partners
10. Support regional manager on liaison with revenue partners on industry trends & relationship with firm clients
11. Drive design and operational standards to meet current and future requirements for data center and technology spaces
12. Manage capacity in data centers, technology spaces and trading environments and support technology change management processes
13. Participate in real estate planning, design, development and execution of capital projects
14. Work closely with Infrastructure Planning and Engineering to insure the facilities comply with Goldman Sachs risk management and efficiency objectives
15. Manage onsite vendors providing facility management critical systems operations services ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with the firm’s policies.
16. Project management support of critical infrastructure construction and upgrade projects
17. Participate in development and management of annual operations and capital budgets for facilities
18. Act as the Facility Management team stakeholder for critical system design and operational requirements for all new construction and expansion activity within critical environments
Other responsibilities
19. Ensure the critical MEP infrastructure supporting business operations is operated and maintained to the highest standards of reliability and efficiency and in accordance with the firm’s global engineering policies and procedures for office, trading floors, and data centers
20. Manage preventive maintenance programs and insure compliance with maintenance objectives
21. Develop metrics and KPIs to track energy performance, capacity utilization, critical systems against operational goals
22. Perform site visits as required to evaluate infrastructure conditions related to system design, installation and/or operation.
23. Refine and establish monitoring processes for campus infrastructure loads such as: UPS, utility power, and chilled water.
24. Develop infrastructure design and operational risk models to assist in right-sizing infrastructure levels to manage risk in a commercial fashion
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Basic Qualifications
25. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
26. Minimum of 5 – 10 years of facilities management and/or engineering design experience preferably with financial institutions or other technology intensive organizations involving critical systems
27. Broad understanding of critical systems infrastructure, risk mitigation practices for operation and maintenance of critical systems, and demonstrated experience working with organizations in the planning and operation of critical environments.
28. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing energy management and environmental compliance programs.
29. Demonstrated experience working with client organizations in the planning and operations of critical facilities
30. Strong MEP skills. Ability to read and understand MEP drawings, operations manuals and technical specifications
31. Possess the ability to understand fundamental building codes and as well as ASHRAE and NFPA standards and guidelines
32. Ability to write reports, develop presentations, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical management personnel is essential

34. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining high quality standards
35. Professional Engineering license preferred but not required
36. Proficient with the suite of Microsoft Office software
37. Exceptional time management skills and ability to adapt style as the situation requires
38. A strong sense of commerciality with sound negotiation skills
