Service and maintain Total Harvestings fleet of haulage and harvesting equipment, including but not limited to, Prime Movers, Log Trailers, other heavy vehicles, heavy haulage and infield plant equipment.This role will include, but not limited too;Detecting and Diagnosing faults in engines and other mechanical partsDismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components and checking partsRepairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as neededPerforming scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulationsReassembling engines and parts after being repairedTesting and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performanceDiagnosing and testing parts with assistance of computers and diagnostic toolsSKILLS & EXPERIENCEQualifications:Qualified Diesel Mechanic / Fitter (General)Current C Class drivers license (HR Preferred)First Aid Certificate preferableExperience:Minimum four years of experience in heavy equipment maintenanceProven mechanical abilitySeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionManagement and Manufacturing
