Odin Ice Baths Pty Ltd The Industrial Engineer optimises the manufacturing processes for ice baths and saunas, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. This role involves designing workflows and processes, troubleshooting issues, management of machines and equipment and collaborating across departments to achieve production goals in a fast-paced environment. Benefits Full time Salary $85,000 to $100,000 Short day Fridays Superannuation Task & Responsibilities Process and Workflow Optimisation Continuously reviewing manufacturing operations to ensure 100% Safe delivery of high-quality products, right first time, on time, in specification (DIFOTIS). Work with Management, Production Planning and Supervision to assist Odin meet its production schedule and cost efficiency targets. Analyse and improve workflows to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimise resource allocation. Provide updates to the Production Manager on operational metrics, such as equipment performance, lost time (downtime / non-productive time), OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), non-conformance recurrence and root cause analysis Consult with and lead the stakeholders on new equipment, plant, machinery and or tools which may benefit the workflow optimisation, quality and safety (ensuring compliance with any regulatory requirements) of the operation. Health, Safety, and Environment Promote a culture of safety by adhering to workplace safety standards and Safe Work Australia guidelines. Assist in implementing safe work practices such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, safe work procedures, and load restraint protocols. Support management to ensure team members are trained and equipped to identify and mitigate risks through initiatives like pre-start checks, Take 5 risk assessments, and toolbox meetings. Support management to maintain a clean, organised worksite using 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain). Quality Assurance Develop and Implement procedures and value-add processes which work to ensure Odin meets all its Australian quality and safety standards. Develop comprehensive checks at every stage of production to achieve “Right First Time” outcomes. Collaborate with team members to establish and maintain consistent production methodologies. Team Collaboration and Training Work closely with design and engineering teams to address production challenges and implement solutions. Train and mentor production staff on technical processes, machinery operations, and safety protocols through print, hands on and classroom sessions. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Safety : Zero lost time injuries and zero medical time injuries. Quality : “Right First Time” level exceeding. 98% Productivity : Productivity rate exceeding 80% (Job Clock Time vs. Available Hours). Efficiency : Efficiency rate exceeding 100% (Actual Time Vs BOM Time)). Material Utilisation : Exceeding 80%(Actual Vs Gross). Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) : > 65% (Stretch Goal WC Std > 85%). Qualification & Experience Education Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering preferred with consideration for related engineering qualifications Experience 3 years in a production or manufacturing role, preferably in a similar industry. Proficiency with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. Technical Skills Proficiency in drafting / simulation / modelling software such as Autocad, Anylogic for example Expertise in fabrication techniques, and assembly processes. Lean Manufacturing Process Mapping / Value Stream Data / Statistical Analysis Program Language skills such as HTML, Java, Python, SQL are well considered Strong understanding of ERP systems / protocols Quality Management / NCR protocols - deep knowledge of ISO 9001 About Company When we launched Odin we pioneered the world's first cedar Ice bath.
