Positions can be based at either our Bathurst, Orange or Dubbo office.
CatholicCare provides a broad range of programs and services caring for the wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities, especially the vulnerable and at risk.
Peer Worker (FCMH) – Full-Time or Part-Time
* We are seeking a caring and nurturing Peer Worker (Family & Carer Mental Health) to join our dedicated Mental Health Team.
* You will provide individual support and assist with educative workshops to carers and families who are caring for people with mental health issues. If you identify as a carer and have experience caring for someone with a mental illness, this is for you.
FCMH Support Worker – Part-Time
* We are seeking an individual with knowledge and qualifications in the Mental Health sector, or working towards a minimum qualification of Diploma in Mental Health or equivalent, and with an understanding of the impact of mental illness on carers.
* This position provides emotional and practical support to people who are caring for others impacted by mental illness. In the role, you will provide support and educative workshops to carers and families, on an individual basis or in groups.
* You will need to be organised with excellent time management skills and well-developed communication skills to build supportive relationships with carers and with other key stakeholders.
Both positions offer a maximum term contract until 26 June 2026. If further funding is made available, an additional contract may be offered to the incumbents.
