Children are referred by school-based services eg school nurses, vice principal, local allied health team, with the consent of their family/legal guardians. The Fellow in Paediatricians in School Program will assess referred children, and advise on health questions. The Fellow in Paediatricians in School Program will gain experience in assessing children with learning, developmental, behavioural, psychosocial issues and physical disabilities, and will develop management plans in conjunction with allied health support, school staff and families and their supervising Paediatrician.
