Based in Brisbane, this role involves remote collaboration with our Australian team, requiring strong technical expertise and experience in proposals preparation for international projects, particularly in the APAC region.The role of the Proposal Engineer is to provide technical engineering input and design into projects and opportunities being pursued.LOCATIONYou will be required to perform your duties at Aqualyng ICES Brisbane Office; however, you may be required to work at other locations as per operational or business needs dictate. The role will require travel from time to time as required.SUPERVISOR/MANAGERYour day-to-day reporting line manager will be to the Technical Manager.MAIN DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSupport the preparation of proposals for mid-size EP/C industrial water treatment projects.Perform hydraulic calculations and equipment selection.Produce process designs / calculations and review process designs as per business requirements.Support technical proposals with process content such as design, descriptions, and data sheets.Review Technical Requirements and Specifications of Tenders.Produce process simulations, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs), design documents, including reports, and specifications as well as written documents and presentations.Prepare cost estimates (Bill of Quantities).Guide and produce Plant Layouts.Technical design of new plants, and plant modification.Focal point for coordinating technical support from Almar's Engineering team to support Aqualyng's project and opportunities.Draft technical proposals, including technical descriptions and Method of Statement.Daily liaise with international teams, particularly in Australia and APAC.QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCEQualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering, BSc in Chemistry, or a related technical field.Proficiency with water and wastewater treatment processes such as Filtration systems, Lamella, DAF, UF, RO, EDI, Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) and Conventional Activated Sludge (CAS) for industrial applications in power generation, O&G, F&B and mining sectors.Qualities of a Proposals EngineerThe successful applicant must be a self-starter, committed, reliable, flexible and a team player with excellent customer service skills, and an outgoing nature.Possess extraordinary organizational skills.Extreme awareness of resource capacity and utilization.Highly tuned management skills and able to motivate others while accepting accountability.Planning/time management is a key element in this role, applicants must be able to plan their own schedule.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required and ability to work within a team environment.ExperienceMinimum of 5 years' experience in proposals preparation for industrial water projects.Your application will include the following questions:How many years' experience do you have as a Proposals Engineer?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?Do you have a current Australian driver's licence?#J-18808-Ljbffr
