Sedgman is in the process of recruiting for an experienced Principal Reliability and Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Perth.
In this role you would provide guidance on best practices for maintenance and reliability, both within the organization and with clients.
Lead the adoption of advanced condition monitoring technologies.
Drive and implement client relationship initiatives within the Asset Management Consulting and Reliability Services business units.
Focus on business growth and maintaining a consistent workload for these units.
A subject matter expert in Asset Management with operational experience in both fixed and mobile plant.
Business Development · Inform and communicate with existing and potential clients and liaise with the Operations, SRS and other consulting teams to ensure client needs are met.
· Maintain a network or peers throughout the industry to ensure existing contacts are maintained and new contacts are made as the industry changes.
· Support business development activities to increase the pipeline of work · Liase with management to review technical issues or assist in client negotiations · Maintain existing contacts and develop new contacts (internal and external) to ensure database currency.
· Assess potential opportunities in connection with leadership and recommend the allocation of financial and human resources for turning these opportunities into achieved revenue · Provide marketing and business development support to executives to ensure they have a competitive edge when negotiating major contracts · Provide support to all regions in the preparation of estimates and proposals participating in both reviews and development of recommendations.
· Assist in the preparation of business plans and operations strategies for the SRS, Operations and consulting teams Technical · Lead advanced condition monitoring activities o Keep abreast of current trends in Asset Management and Reliability o Identify and implement appropriate practices and technologies that improve the service offering and capability of Sedgman both internally and externally · Advise internal projects and potential clients on maintenance and reliability methodologies · Develop a strategy and provide guidance on best practice approach to Reliability and Maintenance Management.
· Mentor and develop SRS teams where applicable so as to further enhance their technical capability.
· Develop the Asset Management framework support, including Defect Elimination, Failure Modes Effects and Critical Analysis (FMECA) and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) · Review reports, calculations and other project deliverables for quality and accuracy.
Qualifications: · Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) · Chartered Engineer credentials.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience: · Minimum 15 years' experience in Asset Management, Reliability and Maintenance Engineering.
· Mechanical or electrical maintenance background · Advanced interpersonal and presentation skills · Effective communication style including the ability to plan and deliver quality reports, proposals and bids.
· Extensive business / commercial experience · Understanding of and proficiency in Maintenance Management · Advanced Equipment Condition Monitoring skills (development and implementation of new technologies, instruments and systems) · Excellent document management skills · The ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Desired skills, knowledge and experience: · Previous marketing and business development experience in the industrial or resources sector focused on asset management and/or consulting.
