The Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and shaping the sales function at Contour Education. This key, newly-created leadership role is responsible for driving strategic sales initiatives, fostering a high-performance sales culture, and ensuring the company’s revenue growth aligns with Contour’s mission to reshape education one student at a time. With strong leadership and strategic oversight, the Sales Manager supports and coaches the Sales Team Leader in building a motivated, effective, and student-focused sales team that helps families access high-quality tutoring services.
This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring a balance between setting long-term sales strategies and supporting the team with day-to-day operations to achieve ambitious sales goals.

We empower students and their studies by providing an ecosystem of highly effective tutoring, resources and support. We run weekly small-group tutoring sessions, presented by young and experienced tutors that teach in a simple, intuitive and engaging way. We also supplement these sessions with weekly workshops, complimentary 1-on-1 support and a learning portal with a comprehensive suite of resources and practice material to help students master their subjects.

What you'll do
* Develop and execute a sales strategy aligned with Contour’s business objectives and vision.
* Set and monitor sales targets, KPIs, and key business outcomes, ensuring sustainable growth.
* Identify and implement market expansion opportunities to increase Contour’s reach.
* Lead, mentor, coach and develop the Sales Team Leader and the wider Sales Team, ensuring a strong student-centred and results driven sales team.
* Foster a high-performance sales culture, ensuring the team is engaged, motivated, and aligned with Contour’s Core Service Values and Team Values .
* Provide strategic guidance and development plans for the sales function to build long-term capability.
Sales Process & Performance Optimisation
* Oversee the refinement of the sales funnel, ensuring a smooth, effective process from inquiry to enrolment.
* Identify areas for process improvements, optimising workflows and reducing inefficiencies.
* Implement data-driven decision-making through sales analytics and reporting, refining strategies based on performance trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with Marketing to align sales and lead-generation strategies.
* Partner with Campus Operations to ensure seamless execution of enrolments and student onboarding.
* Provide sales insights to our Tutoring Teams to improve offerings and enhance customer satisfaction.

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business, business administration, commerce or similar
3+ years leading an effective Sales function to superior results and customer-centric outcomes. (Experience in start-up, scale-up environments is highly regarded)
