Full time, fixed term role until December 2025 Operational systems support role within Sydney Short Courses (DVCE) Base Salary $99,455 17% superannuation About the opportunity Reporting to the Project Manager for Sydney Short Courses, the Operations Officer (Information Solutions) will deliver exceptional information solutions support for Sydney Short Courses within the DVC Education portfolio. In this new role, you will perform information solutions support across three key areas: reporting, continuous improvements, and operations support. You will be responsible for providing operational assistance through information solutions within a multi-faceted business unit. This includes development of business tools; improvement and maintenance of automated processes; assistance with projects; and writing and implementation of scripts (Java/Groovy). You will simultaneously work across BAU, operations, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with team to deploy, support, maintain, and continuously improve a range of internal systems and processes dedicated to ongoing support of the range of Sydney Short Courses’ (SSC) non-award courses. Sydney Short Courses is a strategic project within the DVCE portfolio and advances the University’s aspiration to become an in-demand provider of dynamic lifelong learning. Sydney Short Courses was launched in August 2024 and brings together an extensive range of short courses, professional development, microcredentials and executive education into one online environment to improve accessibility and enhance the customer experience. Currently experiencing extensive growth, this is an opportunity to be involved in supporting and enabling University of Sydney faculties, schools and centres to offer non-award courses and to work within a team of highly collaborative and engaged individuals. Your responsibilities will include: overseeing the day-to-day functioning of the operations platform and workflows identifying break/fix of platform, reporting, monitoring and ensuring stability of fixes assisting in the management of project data integrity maintaining student and course management database records updating website content and preparing technical documentation of scripts and workflows developing business reports and reporting tools using Power BI and Excel undertaking a range of projects and continuous improvement initiatives for the Centre About you experience in an operational systems support role within a complex organisation content management experience using JavaScript/HTML or similar tools technical experience with databases, applications and plug-ins and experience with OnCourse will be highly regarded strong attention to detail and excellent organisational and prioritising skills motivated to use initiative and problem-solving abilities in a collegial and collaborative environment proven skills using reporting software such as Power BI and Excel is highly desirable tertiary skills in IT are desirable, but not essential.
