One that is equitable and prioritises learning and wellbeing.Together we will make our education system the best it can be.When our children and young people thrive, so do our communities and our state.About the Role:The Senior Investigator is accountable to the Manager, Investigations Unit for planning and conducting efficient and objective investigations into allegations of serious employee misconduct in line with organisational and government policy, common law standards, legislative standards and principles of natural justice and procedural fairness that are free from bias and able to withstand internal and external scrutiny.The role also provides investigative and evidentiary leadership and expertise and contributes to the Department's objectives of ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students and employees, relating to allegations of serious misconduct, by employees, paid and unpaid workers associated with the department.The Senior Investigator works collaboratively with other Senior Investigators, departmental units and sites and represents the Department in interactions with other agencies and bodies.The work is challenging and highly sensitive. The role must maintain high levels of confidentiality, professionalism and ethical conduct.Qualifications:Completed a Detective training course or equivalent.Certificate IV in Government (Investigation) or equivalent.Law enforcement or other relevant investigative background.Special Conditions:The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
