Primary objective: Undertake a range of workforce operational tasks and functions to support the delivery of high-quality corporate services under a centralised model, including providing effective and timely responses and practical human resource (HR) management support to client agencies. Context statement: Within Workforce Services, Workforce Operations and Partnerships (WOP) deliver services to client agencies under a centralised corporate services model across a geographically and culturally diverse environment. Key duties and responsibilities: Provide advice and assistance as the first point of contact for general HR queries, ensuring quality service delivery. Assist with fielding HR queries from NTPS clients through the 1800 CALL HR line, providing preliminary advice and triaging to appropriate teams. Administer and coordinate a broad range of HR actions to ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation. Develop working relationships with clients to understand their workforce needs and provide accurate information on terms and conditions of employment, recruitment, and HR policy and practice. Assist senior team members with the research and analysis of more complex HR matters and contribute to HR projects and initiatives. Use various HR-related computer applications and software packages to manage, action, and record HR activities. Work independently, efficiently, and as part of a team to support the effective operation of the team and work unit. Selection criteria: Essential: Working knowledge of operational HR management principles, with the ability to interpret and apply legislation as it relates to HR management related requests and processes. Demonstrated experience in delivering quality customer service in a frontline position. Sound interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely, including good listening, written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently or closely with senior team members and clients, maintaining confidentiality and resolving sensitive issues. Excellent administrative, organisational, and time management skills to manage competing priorities with accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrated proficiency operating a variety of computer and software packages. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, innovative and respectful. Desirable: Knowledge of applicable NTPS employment legislation, recruitment principles, and HR related systems.
