Undertake maintenance and repair work for the school building and grounds to ensure it is a safe environment for the school community.This is a highly sought-after permanent, part-time position, 2 days per week, working 7:30am - 3:30pm on Mondays & Thursdays, with the possibility of increasing to 3 days per week as the school enrolment grows.Ensure building systems and machines run smoothly e.g. air conditioning, pumps etc.Undertake repair/maintenance work as required to school buildings e.g. replacing locks, windows & light bulbs, patching holes, woodwork repairsPerform routine maintenance of equipmentEstimate repair costs and document repairs undertakenHandle, store, and distribute goods and materialsMove equipment and furniture as requiredUpkeep school grounds e.g. mowing, pruning, weeding, planting, disposing of litterAssist with school improvements e.g. fencing, paving, and gardening projectsComplete daily grounds maintenance reportsTrain new employees in grounds-keeping dutiesDrive school vehicles as required.About the School:The Aspect Hills Shire School will be a new state-of-the-art primary school located in the Gables, NSW. Building is well underway and the school is set to open Term 1, 2025. The new school is located within “Gables”, a vibrant new suburb that is owned and developed by Stockland.
