You will be flexible in your approach and safety will be at the top of your priority list. The positions will be in Wagga Wagga, NSW carrying out Engine Maintenance on turboshaft and turboprop engines, working Monday - Friday.Your roleIn this role, your key responsibilities will include:Replace or repair worn, defective, or damaged components, using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment;Test engine operation, using test equipment such as ignition analyser, compression checker, distributor timer, and ammeter, to identify malfunction;Detect and diagnose malfunctions, such as sticking or burned valves;Disassemble and inspect engine parts, such as turbine blades and cylinders, for wear, warping, cracks, and leaks;Reassemble engine and install engine in aircraft;Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories;Utilise your skills and experience to improve processes and apply best practice to optimise the quality of service provided;Essential Requirements:Certificate III light vehicle mechanic or similarPrevious experience on GE-CT7 maintenance & overhaul and GE-T700 (military) maintenance & overhaulExperience working on the Black Hawk/Sea Hawk enginesA proactive and positive attitudeReliable and punctualAttention to detail, accurateAbility and willingness to work to a time schedulePassion for safety and working as part of a teamWhat's in it for you?At Sigma, we place our people at the heart of everything we do.
