Due to our continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for self-driven Quantity Surveyors, to join our Engineering Construction division. Engaged on a fixed term basis you will report to the Project Manager. You will provide detailed quantity and technical data to support preparation and analysis of Contract Variations, Progress Claims, and Earned Value Reporting to the relevant projects and/or business units.
These roles are on an two exciting major lithium projects in the South West Region of WA. There are both DIDO 5:2 (Monday to Friday) and DIDO 2:1 rosters available with attractive Salary Packages, site uplifts & PCB's on offer.
Key responsibilities
1. Prepare information and correspondences for contractual variations and reporting.
2. Works closely with Project Controls Manager and other staff to make the best use of resources.
3. Liaises with client representatives, supplier representative and sub-contractors.
4. Provide timely guidance and advice to ensure contract and quantity surveying activities comply with laws, regulations, policies, systems and guidelines. Raise potential commercial or contractual risks/issues and work to resolve.
5. Analyse project cost data, making recommendations for action regarding contract interpretation from post contract to final account.
6. Analyse materials, products, or qualitative or quantitative work outputs for quality, accuracy and completeness.
7. Provide advice on contract interpretation, payments, changes in scope of works, variations, claims and final accounts to project Management Teams.
8. Understand and interpret detailed engineering drawings. Translate drawings for purposes of tendering, procurement, resourcing, project scheduling and risk identification.
9. Prepare project budgets and manage costs and progress claims.
What you will bring
10. Tertiary qualification in Construction Management a related discipline is desirable
11. Contract administration/Quantity Surveying experience is essential, preferably within the heavy industrial sectors (maintenance or construction).
12. Excellent communication skills with proven experience of building relationships at all levels of an organisation
13. You demonstrate initiative and ensure that the teams you work with feel confident, informed, and efficient.
14. The ability to leverage your analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose business problems and deliver practical, sustainable solutions
15. Intermediate user of MS Office Suite (particularly Word & Excel) to assemble and maintain documents, ensuring completeness and accuracy
