Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to join our Public Sector team and contribute to developing a strategy for promoting AWS cloud services within key accounts in the Federal Government community.
The AWS Solutions Architecture team collaborates with Federal Government entities and AWS partners to design innovative solutions for all stakeholders.
Our work is often sensitive and time-critical, focusing on strategic and operational outcomes.

Broad Responsibilities
* Owning technical engagement and ensuring success for specific implementation projects.
* Developing expertise in AWS technologies and knowledge of how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, enabling them to represent Amazon effectively within customer environments, drive discussions with senior personnel, and provide guidance to software developers and architects.
They should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
* Helping customers plan their successful cloud journey.
* Solving complex technical challenges to allow customers to focus on their business.
* Crafting scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures.
* Driving technical solutions discussions with customer teams.
* Building relationships to understand customers and partners.
Minimum Requirements:
* 8+ years of experience in specific technology domains (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering).
* 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
* Experience architecting or deploying Cloud / Virtualization solutions in enterprise customers.
* Able to create proof of concepts, demos, and / or scripts from scratch or leveraging reusable components.
* Experience working with Federal government.
* Able to present to technical and business audiences (training, workshops, publications).
* Holding or being able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance.
