About your opportunity: In this position you will provide the Hospital and Health Service Board Chair, Board members and Executive with sound professional advice and recommendations on risks and controls which will form the basis for the improved monitoring, development, and delivery of the Service's programs. The position provides strategic leadership over the planning, coordination, management, monitoring and evaluation of the conduct of all audits of the Hospital and Health Service, and oversees the Services' risk management systems and processes. About your role: Provide leadership, direction, and development of the Internal Audit functions and staff. Review and appraise the economy and efficiency with which resources are employed. Develop and execute a risk-based organisation-wide Internal Audit plan and Strategic Audit Plan. Review operations or programs to ascertain whether results are consistent with established objectives and goals and whether the operations or programs are being carried out as planned. Assist management to identify risk and develop risk mitigation and monitoring strategies as part of the risk management framework. Develop and review the risk management framework, risk appetite statement and risk related procedures.
