Alfred Health invites applications for the position of Locum Specialist in Radiology - Musculoskeletal and Neuroradiology to work either Full Time or Part Time from January to December 2025 to provide long service and parental leave backfill. About the Department: The Radiology Department provides the following services to all patients of Alfred Health and to general practitioners and specialists outside The Alfred: Angiography Bone Densitometry Computed Tomography (CT Scan) Fluoroscopy Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Mammography Urology Ultrasound General Radiography (X-ray) Contracted services for clinical trials Education Clinical conferences The subspecialty Interventional Radiology team also provide the following inpatient and outpatient services: Clinical Interventional Radiology including admission under own bed card Dedicated IR outpatient clinic Ward rounds Attendance at MDM as interventional radiologist Arterial interventions Venous interventions Non-vascular interventions Interventional oncology Pain interventions IR quality program including audit The Department also conducts its own research activities Qualifications and Experience: Appointees must be legally qualified medical practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) without conditions, undertakings or reprimands that could impact on their clinical practice. Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR). Additional post-FRANZCR training in Interventional Radiology Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Interventional Radiology as defined in the RANZCR standards of practice for interventional radiology, version 1.0. Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Diagnostic Radiology as defined in the RANZCR standards of practice for clinical radiology, version 11.2 Meets Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice. It would be preferred if the candidate were able to participate in basic clinical research run by the radiology research unit, but this is not a key requirement. Applicants would be preferred if they hold a certification of advanced training such as the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR), or equivalent. Alternatively, applicants may provide a commitment to undertake EBIR (or equivalent) within the first three years of employment.
