Permanent roleSydney or Melbourne basedBe part of a world class team!How will I help?Manage the Information Management Certification process for projects and change initiatives impacting data:Ensure data principles and enterprise requirements are integrated into project requirements and solutions, support projects in defining business terms, capturing data lineage, assessing risks and controls, and establishing data quality rules, while engaging with Technology, Architecture, and Risk teams to maintain consistency with enterprise data management standards.Ensure project and change initiatives comply with the Group’s Data Risk Management framework, standards and alignment with both data and business strategies.Embed the Data Management Operating System processes in projects and BAU change initiatives.Any other ad-hoc initiatives or activities requiring DMCS participation and contribution including but not limited to:Participate in Divisional data decision-making forums, support Data Platforms initiatives and Operational Risk activities related to Data Risk, train stakeholders, and maintain up-to-date Information Management engagement and certification processes and documentation.Ensure data issues are identified and logged or remediated.Ensure data quality is managed through preventative and detective controls.Ensure records management capabilities are managed through the Records Management Lifecycle.Utilise strong influencing and stakeholder management skills to promote strong information management practices and understanding across the organisation.Engagement with Project Sponsors, Project Directors, Divisional Data Owner and delegate(s), business SMEs, Divisional Data Governance Teams, Operational Risk, Technology and the information management community to identify potential synergies with respect to project solutions to be implemented.Reporting as well as information sharing as required by our regulators and stakeholders.Champion data management awareness, practices, and processes.Drive an overall uplift information management maturity for the project portfolio.Collaborate with other internal data teams e.g. Metadata, Data Quality, and Enterprise Reference Data teams.Other team responsibilities:Support the development of team members, participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives, proactively refine and simplify processes, and assist the team and enterprise in delivering the UNITE program from an Information Management perspective.What’s in it for me?You’ll play a significant part of the future of a business that has been around for over 200 years. Shows determination, resilience, resourcefulness, a growth-mindset and a sense of purpose.Experience in leading and embedding change in an organisation.Operational experience of driving programs of work from inception to implementation to achieve transformational / behavioural change.Advocate of enterprise data management best practices.Education in data modelling or data architecture is an advantage.Knowledge:Solid understanding of information management capabilities including business terms, critical data elements, data governance, data lineage, data controls and record management.Working knowledge of APRA guide CPG 235 – Managing Data Risk.Deep end to end knowledge of the data lifecycle in a financial services business.Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.Strong understanding of business performance, information analytic concepts and numerical proficiency.Strong understanding of risk assessment and management.What’s it like to work there?We are a collaborative team of passionate people with a shared ambition to make a difference for our customers, our communities and each other.
