The Integrity Group has at least 2 immediate and exciting EL 2 opportunities within the following branches:Governance, Assurance and Risk Branch: Director, Planning and PerformanceThe Director, Planning and Performance role within the Governance, Assurance and Risk (GAR) Branch is a leadership position. It has people, program and stakeholder management responsibilities and responsibility for staff performance and contribution to Branch results. The role builds on, and contributes to, a range of strong internal and external stakeholder relationships and networks. The GAR Branch has overall accountability for the delivery of NIAA's enterprise governance, assurance, audit and risk management programs. The Branch provides strategic advice and specialist expertise across a broad range of activities to ensure quality outcomes are delivered across program outputs.The successful candidate will be expected to:Lead a small team to deliver a number of the NIAA's key accountability mechanisms, including the NIAA Corporate Plan, Annual Report and Agency Key Performance Measures and quality indicators.Ensure any risk is managed in keeping with the Public Governance and Performance Accountability (PGPA) Act.Provide a strategic level of specialist, professional and/or technical expertise and advice to the NIAA Executive, leveraging the expert skills and knowledge of staff.Further develop and deliver compliance and integrity related training and education to all staff, relevant stakeholders and partners.Program Compliance and Fraud Branch: Director, Program Compliance SectionThe Director of the Program Compliance and Fraud Branch Compliance Section is responsible for managing matters reported to the Branch where complex or serious non-compliance by NIAA funded service providers is detected. They provide strategic direction and leverage expertise to ensure quality outcomes are delivered across the program outputs. The role fosters teamwork and encourages wider collaboration and information sharing to achieve results for the Branch and broader NIAA objectives.The successful candidate will be expected to:Lead the coordination of all case management for grant-related contractual compliance matters reported to the Integrity Group, including where there is suspected complex or serious non-compliance.Ensure the development and delivery of Program Compliance and Fraud Branch grant-related contractual compliance training to staff.Develop and deliver robust frameworks relevant to grant-related contractual compliance to support Government and NIAA services and initiatives and adapt these frameworks as circumstances evolve.Our Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate should exhibit outstanding judgment and professionalism and have the capacity to work flexibly and responsively to achieve results. Ensure succession planning is in place and maintained by having strategies in place to identify and foster emerging talent.Monitor risk activities for area of responsibility, identifying strategic changes that may impact on risk management and mitigation activities.Research and critically analyse complex information from various sources and points of view to develop and provide high level advice, reports, recommendations and other documentation; identify and appropriately address emerging risks and opportunities.Demonstrate a high degree of cultural acumen and create a culturally safe workplace.Foster an environment where the concept of culture and how it influences the workplace and interactions is understood.
