We have a permanent opportunity for a Customer Connections Development Engineer who can be located in Newstead, Cairns, Rockhampton, Toowoomba or Townsville.
About your role:
As a Customer Connections Development Engineer, you’ll have an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of major projects across Queensland to bring the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan (QEJP) and Olympics to life. Day to day you’ll communicate with a range of stakeholders and customers to produce concept scoping and estimates to support multi-million dollar projects to deliver major customer connections, Queensland renewable energy targets and the QEJP program.
You will be supporting economic development across Queensland with renewable energy solutions for Hospitals, Mines, Harbour Ports, Defence Projects and infrastructure upgrades. You will enable the connection of Solar and Wind farms and lead the move toward BESS and other future major customer projects.
You will work closely with the Major Projects Engineering Lead and play a critical role to deliver and support project approved works within agreed timelines and budget requirements.
The remuneration for your new role is from $151,765 plus 14.75% super for a 9-day fortnight and from $171,495 plus 14.75% super for a 10-day fortnight.

About you:
In addition to your Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, acceptable for membership of Institution of Engineers Australia in the Professional Engineering category, and equivalent demonstrated experience, you have a sound understanding of the National Energy Market and electricity distribution in Qld. You also have:
* Proven ability to develop good working relationships with team members and other stakeholders to identify and understand customer needs and expectations.
* Extensive knowledge and experience in the application of the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of electrical network infrastructure ranging from LV to 220kV including different types of Generator connections.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills to develop good working relationships with team members and other stakeholders to identify and facilitate and deliver positive outcomes.
* Demonstrated success at operating at a high level in the development of detailed technical engineering reports, and ability to provide training, coaching, and technical support to individuals and teams.
* Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage at times, competing project milestones to meet business and project targets.
