Job Description
We are seeking to engage with a client focused, professional and entrepreneurial PM / Assistant Project Manager who wishes to join a proactive and dynamic team based in Brisbane. You are joining a business that has a focus on working together to ensure a high level of client service, as well as identifying and driving new business.
As the PM / Assistant Project Manager, you will work with the Project Management Team in managing projects from initial client contact to completion.
Other key responsibilities include:
o Ensuring completeness and accuracy of all project records and preparation of reports.
o Contributing to system, process and learning improvement.
o Assisting project managers and senior management in the preparation and facilitation of tenders.
o Budgeting, cost planning reporting and analysis and processing of payment recommendations.
o Chairing and minuting meetings as required – client, consultant, stakeholder, and contractor meetings.
o Liaison with Authorities, Building Owners and Managers.
o Undertaking site inspections and report on inspection findings.
Qualifications
To be successful in this rewarding role you will require:
o 2-5 years’ experience within the commercial construction or development industry.
o Ideally University degree qualified, in Project Management, Engineering, Design or Construction, or be working toward the qualification.
o Proven knowledge of building principles and inter-phase of trades and services.
o Demonstrated ability to communicate project related issues clearly and concisely.
o Client focus ensuring the project design meets needs of stakeholders, budget and systems.
o The ability to work to deadlines, and proven experience at meeting client requirements, using prioritizing and organizational skills, and to think clearly under pressure.
o Ability to work within a team environment to deliver collective results.
o Communication, both oral and written, that creates a positive impact.
o It is essential to be highly proficient in MS Office suite of products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and Microsoft Project.
