Employment Type – Ongoing, Full Time
Salary – $88,173 pa + $5,766 Incidental Allowance + Superannuation + Leave Loading
Your Role
Corrective Services Industries is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the Senior Community Projects role at Goulburn Correctional Complex, you must have experience in any of the following trades: Grounds Maintenance or Construction related trades, other trades with proven experience may also be considered for this role.
As the standout candidate for this role, you will have robust communication skills, a positive attitude, strong work ethics and integrity in line with CSI core values to train and supervise inmates, Quality control / inspection responsibilities and ensuring compliance. You are also required to have sound computer knowledge and be resilient with strong time management skills.
What we’re looking for
As a standout candidate you will have:
1. Proven trade experience
2. Willingness to work across varying trades and ability to multitask to achieve operational goals
3. The successful candidate will be paid to undertake Primary Training for Certificate III in Correctional Practice
4. Create and maintain a safe working environment for staff, contractors, inmates and visitors per compliance with Work Health & Safety legislation.
5. Model prosocial behaviours in alignment with Department of Communities and Justice Values
6. Manage resources efficiently and effectively per Corrective Services NSW protocols
Essential Requirements
7. Current Certificate III in any of the following trades: Grounds Maintenance or Construction related trade (other trades with proven experience and skills may be considered).
8. Forklift licence (or capacity to obtain within CSNSW timeframes)
9. AQF3 Chemical Certification (or capacity to obtain within CSNSW timeframes)
10. Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframes
11. Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive to locations as required
12. General understanding of capabilities around the use of computers and electronic platforms to access relevant departmental programmes and applications
