Disability Support Worker - Complex Care
Female Support workers preferred due to Female Participant requiring personal care.Casual with view to permanent part time after qualify period.We are looking for passionate support workers to join our team in supporting a Female Participant with complex specialised needs in a 3:1 (3 staff:1 Participant) setting. This role includes providing tailored support to our complex Participant, ensuring that their unique needs are met with the utmost care and dedication. This is a chance to make a real difference in someone's life by offering specialised, responsive, and person-centred support. In this role, the Support Worker is responsible for delivering comprehensive support that includes but is not limited to personal assistance, behaviour management, therapeutic support, and community engagement.The role requires advanced skills in managing complex needs, crisis intervention, and following/implementing the Participant Positive Behaviour Support Plan.
The Role:
Supporting Participant in range of daily living including personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, laundry and etc.
Medication including administering and recording
Maintain shift notes, incident reports, daily records and all the necessary documents.
Domestic tasks assistance including cleaning
Handling complex or challenging situations or behaviours calmly and rationally
Accompanying participant on planned and chosen outings within the community

Required Qualities

Completed Certificate III in Individual Support (preferred but not essential as on job training provided)
Australian Driver's License
First Aid and current CPR
NDIS Worker Screening Check (Paid for employment)
NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Reliable smart phone with data
24-hour care, meaning staff are required to work a combination of shifts – morning from 6am to overnight.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $40.26 – $60.00 per hour
