Overview:Associate Director, Student Lifecycle and ExperienceJoin the leadership team at RMIT's flourishing College of Business and Law.Drive direct impact on student experience, team culture and outcomes.Based at the Melbourne campus (3-4 days on campus) with potential work across other RMIT campuses.About the RoleThe Associate Director, Student Lifecycle and Experience position leads a comprehensive student lifecycle services portfolio within the College of Business and Law (CoBL), drives service optimisation and excellence, and ensures the effective delivery of high-quality, student-centered services across the Student Lifecycle.
This role provides strategic leadership in service enhancement and innovation, operational efficiency, while also overseeing functions to support seamless student lifecycle management, with a focus on strengthening stakeholder engagement and using technology to drive service enhancements.As a key senior leader for the College, the Associate Director is responsible for leading and sustaining a high-performance culture across the team, empowering people leaders to drive a positive culture with a strong focus on delivering coaching and development across the broader Students and Operations team.
The role is accountable for high level planning, business advice and support to the General Manager, College Operations.To be successful in this position, you will bring:Significant leadership skills including demonstrable experience of building and fostering a high-performance and positive service culture, strong experience in mentoring and coaching people leaders and driving positive performance within a service environment, preferably in the tertiary education sector.Demonstrated, substantial experience in leading large-scale, transformational change of service culture with a strong focus on the use of technology to enhance service and drive change.Advanced digital capabilities and technological understanding with a curiosity to learn, share and test new innovations.Proven experience in providing high level strategic advice and developing strategic plans, with the ability to understand issues at both a broad strategic level and a detailed operational level.We seek a forward-thinking, strategically minded candidate with a track record of contributing to organisational strategy and goals.Outstanding interpersonal, communication and business writing skills with an ability and confidence to deliver compelling presentations.Candidates must demonstrate success working in matrix structures and collaborating with colleagues and leaders at all levels across the organisation.Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.About the College of Business and LawRMIT's College of Business and Law takes an industry and student-centred approach to its courses and programs, ensuring graduates are work ready and able to tackle business challenges, balance stakeholder needs, act as socially responsible global citizens and create fair and positive futures for all.The College delivers impactful research informed by industry, which supports its strong position as a College at the intersection of business and technology with social impact.
