The Senior Management Accountant will play a key role in driving commercial success through accurate financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and partnering with senior leadership. Manage the budget process, ensure accurate monitoring of financial performance against the budget, and report on any variances. Ensure the accuracy of financial data used for reporting purposes. Contribute to the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial results. Deliver monthly management reports, providing insights into financial performance and trends for informed decision-making. Provide in-depth financial analysis and guidance to support business strategies and operational efficiency. Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Manage and report on annual government funding and grant acquittals, ensuring compliance with reporting obligations and deadlines. Prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS) in line with tax obligations and deadlines. Develop and update cash flow projections to ensure the company maintains adequate liquidity to meet financial commitments. Identify opportunities for enhancing financial processes and systems, recommending and implementing improvements to streamline operations.
