Future Generation Joint Venture (FGJV) is the principal contractor for Snowy Hydro's Snowy 2.0, Australia's largest committed renewable energy project.We bring the combined engineering expertise of three companies - Italy's Webuild (formerly Salini Impregilo), Australian-based Clough and US-based Lane Construction.Purpose of the Role: The Environmental Engineer - Spoil Management is responsible for developing and implementing environmentally sustainable spoil management strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations and minimising ecological impact.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.Professional Engineering license (PE) is advantageous.Proven experience in spoil management or related environmental roles.Familiarity with local and international environmental regulations.Unrestricted Driver's Licence.White Card. Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in environmental engineering, spoil management or related roles, preferably in the construction industry.Demonstrated experience in coordinating and implementing spoil management plans.Proficiency in conducting environmental impact assessments.In-depth knowledge of spoil management practices, including excavation, transportation and disposal.Understanding of environmental regulations and standards related to spoil management in construction.Proficiency in coordinating spoil management activities within the overall construction project.Excellent communication skills for conveying spoil management plans and requirements to construction teams, stakeholders and environmental authorities.Ability to promptly identify and address challenges related to spoil management.Sound decision-making skills to ensure compliant and environmentally sustainable spoil management.Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, construction crews and environmental teams.Sound negotiation and problem-solving skills.Strong initiative and proactive nature.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Well-developed time management skills.High attention to detail.Competent in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
