Unarmed security officers maintain a safe and secure environment at businesses, organizations, and residential properties. They patrol premises, perform access control, and investigate disturbances. They also monitor alarm systems and video surveillance cameras.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Credential / ID inspections.
* Alarm response (Time-sensitive)
* Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards or security concerns.
* Visual vehicle inspections
* Access / Escort assistance
* Perimeter fence inspections
* Building occupancy inspections
* Daily report completion (Daily Activity Report / Incident reports / Entry logs / Etc.)
* Static access control posting
* Key issuance / inventory
* Maintain constant communication with the supervisor.
* Maintain detailed knowledge of all standard procedures / post-orders.
* Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements (GATE)
* Permit authorized persons to enter the property, monitor entrances, and exits; and control / direct traffic (GATE)
* Meet applicable PPE standards of work location. May include hardhat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and cut-resistant gloves (Construction)
* Subject to recurring proficiency audits.
QUALIFICATIONS :
* Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule. Nights and weekends required. No M-F Day shifts available.
* Legally authorized to work in the United States.
* Minimum 18 years or older.
* Must have a valid State Identification Card (ID)
* Read, speak, and understand English language fluently.
* Ability to prepare detailed written reports and fill out forms.
* Must be able to pass all training and obtain required certifications to include Unarmed DCJS License, First Aid, and CPR.
* Successfully pass criminal checks.

WORKING CONDITIONS :
Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are 24 / 7.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
