An exciting opportunity exists to join the Examinations Branch in the VCE Examinations Unit for an ongoing/fixed term full-time position (end dates if fixed term). Salary: $134,593 - $180,115 (Plus Superannuation of 11.5%) Fixed term 12 months Usual hours of work: Full time (flexible work conditions maybe available) Usual work location: East Melbourne Role purpose Senior Project Manager - Publication and Alternative Formats - The purpose of this role is to provide high-level administrative and managerial support for the Examination Setting Unit. This includes the effective leadership and management of the development of VCE examinations and associate responsibilities to ensure that security, quality and assessment policies are followed according to a specified timeline in the area of editorial review and production. The Senior Project Manager, VCE Examinations is responsible for managing the technical production of examination materials, including print and alternative format examinations, while ensuring the integrity and security of data held within a secure network. The main components of the role include but are not limited to: Coordinate people, materials and systems on complex projects in a high-security environment to ensure that critical deadlines are met Establishing and maintaining high-level processes and procedures to ensure the quality and security of VCE examination papers Management of identified contracts, including monitoring and reporting deliverables and building productive working relationships with various suppliers. Leadership of team members to work meticulously and efficiently through ongoing quality assurance and project leadership People management and leadership defineing role expectations, monitors performance, provideing timely and constructive feedback and facilitates team/ individual development in editorial and publications team. Report on the progress of examination projects and identify emerging risks and issues and propose solutions Participate as a member of the leadership team of the Unit, contributing to the planning and operation of the Unit, providing advice on publications and alternative formats. About the unit The VCE Examinations unit develops and produces all VCE written examinations, including those for the Northern Hemisphere Timetable. The unit produces alternative format examinations, examination specifications, sample examination materials and examination reports.
