Salary: MDP3 - $148,753 - $154,702 p.a. + Superannuation & Salary Sacrifice BenefitsBedford Park SA, 5042 - Flinders Medical Centre (FMC)Full Time, Contracted Role up to 3 yearsAbout the role The IR Fellow is responsible for assisting in the provision of interventional radiology and vascular services at Flinders Medical Centre under the guidance of Consultant Interventional Radiologists. The position involves specific experience and training in interventional radiology including endovascular procedures, computed tomography (CT) and fluoroscopic guided non-vascular intervention, percutaneous liver procedures, nephrostomy insertion, and abscess drainage. There may be an opportunity to work with Interventional Neuro-Radiologists.This is a fellowship position for a radiologist who has obtained their Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR). For a full-time position, the IR Fellow will have a minimum of three days gaining specific experience and training in interventional radiology in the angiography suite or performing interventional CT/ultrasound procedures, one-and-a-half days reporting diagnostic radiology/MRI/clinical meetings, and half a day per week for study/research as per SAMI Flinders Medical Centre Radiology needs.The IR Fellow is also encouraged to participate in the teaching of registrars and join the tutorial roster in the department. The IR Fellow may be required to participate in non-interventional radiology clinical duties.The IR Fellow will have access to meetings, lectures, tutorials, and research facilities in SAMI Flinders Medical Centre. They will also be involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.The IR Fellow will undertake research projects/audits in relation to interventional radiology and will be encouraged to present at national and international meetings. Attendance at appropriate clinical and multidisciplinary meetings is required.
