You will form a central role in the finance team, primarily focusing on coordinating and managing the month end process to ensure sound financial accounting control framework. The role works closely with all members of the Finance, Operations, Marketing and HR Teams ensuring accuracy of transaction classification, record maintenance and timely delivery of monthly and weekly reports to stakeholders.Reporting to the Finance Manager, your primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to:Maintain the monthly checklist of all duties for the preparation and closure of month end; coordinating with all necessary stakeholders to ensure timeliness of month end close;Manage the month-end and year-end closure procedures, including posting general journals and performing balance sheet reconciliations;Prepare monthly management reports, tracking actual financial performance against budget; ready for review by the Finance Manager and Key Internal Stakeholders;Manage and maintain weekly cashflow reporting;Assist in the development of budgets/forecasts and model analysis;Calculate monthly payments for Dentists, including issuing invoices and associated supporting documentation as reflected in our services & facilities agreements;Reconciling, preparing & lodging cyclical compliance returns including BAS, IAS, PAYGW, Payroll Tax, Superannuation etc;Ensure financial integrity of sales reconciliations & assist dental practice team members and accounts receivable with queries relating to daily sales;Reconciliations of all bank & credit card accounts;Manage and maintain the Fixed Asset Registers;Assist with support where necessary to the accounts officer;Have a general understanding of processing payroll and award interpretation;Liaising with external tax accountants about business advisory and tax matters;Attending to practice queries in a proactive & positive manner and visiting locations to assist with explanation of financial results;Work with the Finance Manager to continuously identify areas for improvement, including the implementation of BI tools and other systems that automate areas of the finance function;Perform other duties as requested by the Finance Manager commensurate with the level of the role and skills of the incumbent.About YouRelevant tertiary qualifications in finance or accountingCompleted CA/CPA or equivalentMinimum 5 years’ experience working in a similar roleExperience with Xero is desirable, but not essentialStrong level proficiency with Microsoft Suite, specifically ExcelExperience navigating processes and systems in a multi-stakeholder environmentAbility to work effectively under pressure in a deadline driven environment where at times the business can operate in a highly ambiguous and unstructured wayHigh degree of accuracy in the preparation of reportsExcellent interpersonal skillsExperience in Healthcare, or a similar multi-site sectorWhy Join Oasis Dental?Competitive salary packageWork in a beautiful location, based in BroadbeachJoin a fun and positive culture with opportunities to learn new skillsA flexible work-life balance that supports YOUQuarterly social events/team training daysIf this sounds like you please send through your current CV to *******@oasisdentalstudio.com.au, accompanying cover letter and answer the relevant employer questions.
