As a Graduate Meteorologist, you will begin your career by undertaking a paid ten-month Graduate Diploma at the Bureau's Training Centre in Broadmeadows, Melbourne from late January to mid-November.
On successful completion of the course, you will be qualified as an entry-level Meteorologist and will undertake job readiness training at one or more of the Bureau's operational sites, located in capital cities and Australian Defence Force (ADF) bases in regional areas.
Information for applicants The roles are ongoing and located at Melbourne Bureau Meteorology Training Centre – Broadmeadows for the 10-month training period.
Following successful completion of the course, Meteorologists will be posted to one of our sites around Australia, with Melbourne or Brisbane most likely, followed by other capital cities, or possibly regional locations including rural Defence bases.
